Moccasin Care
Leather is breathable by nature, which means water will seep in. Apply waterproofing if you plan to go out in wet conditions and wish for your feet to stay dry. Otherwise, just dry your moccasins between wear.
For longer leather life, apply conditioner to replenish oils in the leather and to prevent over drying.
I personally use Fiebing's 100% Neatsfoot Oil and Obernauf's Leather Care Products.
The moccasins can be washed in the clothes-washer with a mild detergent – wash in cold water only.
DO NOT put them in the clothes dryer as this will cause them to shrink sizes.
Air dry on a sunny day or place them near the wood stove for drying.
Reapply conditioning oils while drying.
The boar hide sole can be replaced. Resole before you wear through the second layer(elk hide).
Resole fee $60.
Note: Please be aware that moccasins may be slippery when wet.
